CURRENT PROJECTS:
No projects currently under construction. TCA is planning the following improvements to keep traffic moving:
1. 241 FasTrak lanes A third FasTrak lane will be added in each direction within a three mile segment through the Windy Ridge Toll Plaza south of the 91 Freeway. Design of the project is underway. Construction begins summer 2008 and wraps up in mid - 2009.

2. 241 Southbound Widening One additional lane will be added to the southbound 241 for five miles from Bake Parkway to beyond Santa Margarita Parkway. Two major bridges in this area will also be widened. Design is underway.
3. 73 Northbound Widening A fourth northbound lane will be added to two sections of the 73. A total of 6 miles, one section near Newport Coast Drive and the other near Glenwood/Pacific Park Drive, will be widened. The project will provide traffic relief during the morning peak traffic hours. Design is underway.
