TOLL ROAD AGENCY CHIEF ENGINEER RESIGNS

IRVINE, Calif. (February 12, 2007) -- James Brown, Chief Engineer for the Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA), announced his resignation today to accept a position with Moffatt & Nichol Engineering, Inc.

Brown joined TCA in 2000, but has been affiliated with the Agencies’ toll road projects since 1995. Before joining TCA, Brown was Director of Construction Management Services for Sverdrup Civil, Inc. and worked as a construction manager on the San Joaquin Hills (73) Toll Road and Phase I of the Foothill (241) Toll Road.

“It has been a privilege to work with such a fine group of professionals over the past 11 years I have been associated with the Agency and its projects,” Brown said.

Brown’s resignation is effective February 23.  William Woollett, Jr., TCA’s Chief Executive Officer, has named David Lowe Acting Chief Engineer.  Lowe currently holds the position of Director, Design and Construction for TCA

The Transportation Corridor Agencies are two joint powers authorities created in 1986 to plan, finance and construct Orange County’s 67-mile toll road system.  Today 51 miles of the system are open and carry approximately 300,000 trips a day.  The Environmental Impact Report and location for the final 16 miles of the system, called Foothill-South was approved by the Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency Board of Directors in 2006.  The project is currently in the permitting stage of the final approval process.
