SIX HONORED FOR OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE AS TOLL ATTENDANTS
IRVINE, Calif. - Sept.13, 2007 - A group of outstanding Toll Attendants were honored today for their dedication to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for the cash-paying customers who use Orange County's toll roads.
Toll collectors on the 73, 133, 241 and 261 Toll Roads process 14 million vehicles and collect more than $38 million each year. This is the seventh year that toll attendants have been honored for their excellent customer service skills by the Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA), the public agencies responsible for Orange County's 51-mile public toll road system.
"They provide directions and information for lost customers and share laughter and encouraging words with their many regular customers," said TCA Cash Operations Manager Steve Loughry.
The honorees are:
- Vicky Murphy of Riverside
- Susie Cue of Fullerton
- Joanne Carlson of San Clemente
- Darlene Kee of Moreno Valley
- Alfredo Gonzalez of Costa Mesa
- Gloria Carr of Santa Ana
Murphy is a familiar face to drivers who make their way to work each morning by passing through the Windy Ridge toll plaza on the 241 Toll Road, just south of the 91 Freeway. Kee, an assistant manager at the Tomato Springs toll plaza on the 241 Toll Road, was recognized for her leadership and positive attitude.
Attendants were selected based on their on-the-job improvement; willingness to help patrons and fellow employees; outstanding accuracy rates; adherence to policies and procedures; and dedication to the goals and missions of The Toll Roads.
The toll attendants were selected by Central Parking Corp., which provides TCA with toll plaza staffing services, and were recognized at the September meetings of the boards of directors for the Foothill/Eastern and San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agencies.
